Bulletin Boards...how to

So I was browsing the web for different ideas related to my beach theme and found some really cute pictures that I wanted to use for my bulletin boards. The only problem was that they didn't provide where they got the pictures they used for their bulletin boards. Thankfully I'm pretty good at free-handing things I see that I like but I can't find the original to. So I drew my own images based on the ones I found online and viola! I had my own! (You can find them attached if you'd like to use them. I like the idea of putting them on teacherspayteachers, however I feel I'm the old school teacher that appreciates giving and getting things for free. What happend to sharing in the teaching community?)

Next I busted out some page protetctors and some vis-a-vis markers, (so much better than transparencies because the originals you're copying don't move) and asked my principal if I could borrow one of our old projectors (we have smart products now and don't use the projectors but thankfully someone had the intuition to keep them around). I slid the originals I had drawn on cardstock into the page protectors and copied them with vis-a-vis. After I was done tracing the image onto the page protector I slid out the original and was ready to copy onto posterboard! Taped the posterboard onto the wall and a few seconds later they were ready for some finishing touches (outlining with sharpie markers, adding some color, and  lamination).

That will be done later but wanted to blog about the progress. Below are the inspirations to my originals and the originals I created. Check back to see the process and the finished products.
